Our app is intended to help teens and their supporters connect better, to understand issues relating to mental wellbeing, and to help people put strategies in place to improve wellness and daily mental wellbeing. It is for informational purposes only. Bubble Application (“app”) makes no claims, representations or guarantees that the app provides a physical or therapeutic benefit. Any advice or other materials in the Bubble app are intended for general information purposes only. They are not intended to be relied upon and are not a substitute for professional medical advice based on your individual condition and circumstances. Only your physician or other health care provider can do that.

We respect the privacy of participants and have developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your privacy. The Bubble application (“app”)  (also called ”Bubble app”, "we","us" and "our" in this privacy policy) is created and managed by Melon Health Ltd. This Privacy Policy is intended to describe for you, as an individual and a user of the Bubble app, what we use and store as a “data controller” personal and health information (“information”) about you, how we collect and “Process” (store, use, and share) it, and your choices about such uses and disclosures.
We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully when using the Bubble app.

 

2. Definitions

Information in the context of Bubble might be your bubble name, bubble activity - the fact you have completed a task or the results from a task, your reflections or something else you have created whilst using the app.  We do not hold your personal data and we only hold information for the purpose of presenting to you a history of your activity. 

Data controller or data control is a term used to describe an entity or the action that determines the purposes for which and the means by which personal data is processed and ultimately protected. 

Data processing is the action of setting up systems that manage the data and represent what the data means.

3. Why do we collect information about you?

We collect information about you for the following purposes so that we can;

  • Provide our services to you

  • Personalize our services to your particular circumstances

  • Connect you with other person(s), with your permission

  • Contact you for administrative or technical purposes

  • Improve our services based on your use of them

  • Report on the outcome of our services to promote and evaluate them

4. The information we collect and hold about you

The personal information we may collect and hold about you depends on the nature of your interaction with us. 

  1. The name you choose to use in the Bubble app, who you have chosen to join you and which bubble you are in;

  2. transaction-related information, such as when you download or use applications from us; 

  3. information you provide us when you contact us for help; 

  4. information you enter into the application during participation in a task on the app. 

Additionally, the Bubble app presents information to you, from your interactions with the tasks in the app, at the time of use and then discards the information. This is to ensure we hold the least amount of information possible. 

There are two scenarios where we would store your data in an encrypted manner. For this we use Amazon Web Services (AWS), Sydney:

  1. To provide a history function that supports you to look at previous interactions when completing tasks on the Bubble app. 

  2. To notify the other person in your bubble of your activity when you choose for this to happen, as prompted by a feature in the Bubble app. 

You may change or delete any information you provide at any time.

If for any reason there has been a breach of your privacy connected to the above information we collect or hold about you, we will notify you within a reasonable timeframe. 

Automatically collected information

The Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, and information about the way you use the Application.

We use the information we collect to help us continuously understand and optimize the experience for you. We use analytics to measure anonymized site activities, and associate multiple sessions across multiple devices. We only use your data for the purpose of internal analytics to improve our Services.

Cookies

The Bubble app does not use cookies within the application. Click here for more information about cookies used for Melon powered websites.

Does the Application collect precise real-time location information of the device?

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your device. It does have access to the broad whereabouts of the IP to enable law-abiding delivery of services in specific jurisdictions and to estimate the total number of users using the app from specific geographical regions to enable us to improve the app.

 

5. Provision of services to children

We do not provide services to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has joined the Bubble app they should contact us at support@melonhealth.com. We will delete information associated with that person and the Bubble app within a reasonable time.

Promotion to children

We will not contact children under age 13 about special offers for marketing purposes or solicit data without a parent's permission. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us at support@melonhealth.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.

 

6. How is the information used?

We may use and disclose information that we do hold about you:

  • Improve and personalize your experience

  • Share your information with another user within the Bubble app, with your permission (see section below “Sharing on our service”)

  • Manage your account and resolve technical issues

  • Perform research and analysis about your use of the Bubble app and the outcomes achieved

  • Promote the app using anonymized data to potential clients

  • Communicate with you via the Bubble app about your use of the app

  • Enforce the Terms and Conditions

  • Manage our business and perform functions as otherwise described to you at the time of collection

Data collected by the Services will not be shared or processed for any other reason than outlined in this policy. Keep in mind that we won’t ever use your email to spam you with marketing promotions not related to the Application or Program. 

 

7. Sharing on our service

Sharing of your information on our Service

We will only ever share your identifiable information with people you have consented to receive that information by joining a “bubble” in the Bubble app. This will be a person of your choice. 

The Bubble app may prompt you to notify or share with the other person in your bubble. When notifying, prompting and sharing is enabled you can disconnect from the other person in your Bubble at any time by going to settings. 

The Bubble app does not have oversight of the information you enter into the app and therefore is unable to share your information, even in the event of safety concerns. By joining the Bubble app you acknowledge you are aware of this and will seek alternative assistance should you need support. 

 

8. Third-party services we use and their access to your information

We employ third-party services to provide functions on our behalf. We do not sell or disclose your information to third parties without your consent, except for third-party service providers to provide their services on this application and to support our business operations. Unless otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.

Google Firebase

We use the following Firebase features: Realtime Database, Crash Reporting, Cloud Messaging, and Authenticator.

Mixpanel

We use all Mixpanel features. This includes the tracking of your mobile device's IP address. No user-entered data is included in Mixpanel’s tracking. Information on how Mixpanel uses the data that this service collects can be found here.

If we share your information for another purpose we will gain your consent first.

Social Media and Identity Providers

To use certain features you will have to create an account.  If you choose to do this with certain third-party social networking services or Identity Providers, such as Facebook or Google, we will create your account by extracting from these services certain personal information such as your email address and other personal information that your privacy settings on the service account permit us to access. 

Our Applications may include social media features, such as the Facebook Like button, and widgets, such as the “Share This” button. These features may collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on or Applications, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Applications. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it.

Other legal reasons for disclosure of information

We may disclose Information: as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process; when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request; with our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, where they do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

If Melon Health Ltd. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Application of any change in ownership or use of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

 

9. Rights of access and correction

You can access and update your information online by logging into the app.  You have the right to access and to request correction of any of your information provided to us in connection with your use of the Application. 10. What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by deleting your account in ‘Settings’. You can request to have the information corrected via email, at support@melonhealth.com.  To opt out of all analytics we use, you can uninstall the Application.

 

11. Data retention policy, managing your information

We will retain User-Provided data or information for as long as you use the Application. If you are no longer using the application we may use data that is not linked to you but has been stored in aggregate to improve the Bubble app for others. When your data is stored, encrypted and protected to present historical information back to you, we use AWS servers in Sydney. 

How long do we keep your personal information for? 

We do not retain your personal information. We use the information you have provided at login to identify who you are and then we discard that information.

Should you wish to have a history of the activities you complete in the Bubble app we will need to hold this information in encrypted files to present back to you. 

If your account is terminated, unless it is necessary or required to meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, or to prevent fraud or abuse, we will anonymise your information so that it no longer identifies you and we may keep it indefinitely for research purposes.

 

13. Security

We take safeguarding the confidentiality of your information very seriously. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

 

14. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and informing you via email. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. You can check the history of this Policy by the revision numbers at the end of the Policy.

 

15. Your consent

By agreeing to this Privacy Policy, you are consenting to the access, control and processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
